In this role, you'll support the Precinct Protection & Logistics Manager and Security team in the day-to-day operations, helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all. From major events to the Ekka, you'll play a key part in delivering smooth operations, excellent customer service, and a secure experience for staff, visitors, and guests alike. This is a fixed term, full-time position with an immediate start
Key Accountabilities:
- Support daily security operations across the RNA precinct, RICC, and Ekka, working closely with the Security Supervisor and Precinct Protection & Logistics Manager.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, patrons, stakeholders, and RNA assets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while managing crowd control and RSA duties in line with QLD Liquor Laws.
- Operate the Security Control Room, monitor BMS systems, and manage radio communications and incident reporting.
- Conduct regular patrols, lock/unlock procedures, traffic control, welfare checks, and escorts.
- Respond to emergencies, administer First Aid if required, and play an active role in crisis response.
- Liaise with emergency services, the public, contractors, and car park operators.
- Manage site access, security systems, proxy cards, key controls, and the automated car park system.
- Maintain accurate reports, incident logs, and risk assessments in line with RNA procedures.
- Champion a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability, upholding RNA's values and code of conduct.
To be successful you will require:
- 3 years minimum industry experience in a similar role
- Security License (Class 2) with Crowd Control & Monitoring
- Current QLD Driver's License
- RSA Certificate (RMLV desirable, not requirement)
- Forklift License (desirable, not requirement)
- CPR & First Aid certified

The 22-hectare precinct, just 1.5kms from the CBD attracts a million visitors a year and is the state's largest indoor / outdoor events space featuring the vibrant King Street dining precinct and the five-star Royal International Convention Centre.
