About the Job

There is an exciting opportunity with the Human Resources Team for a Human Resources Officer. This position assists in the provision of effective human resource service to employees, managers and executives of the Shire of Esperance. The role provides recruitment, and manpower planning and reporting to assist with the provision of an effective recruitment process and enhanced retention.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the recruitment and selection processing in accordance with EEO principles and other relevant legislation.
  • Undertake policy/procedure development and review as requested
  • Update HR Reports, including maintaining staff movement documentation and ensure HR Module is appropriately updated.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week.

About you

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgement and use initiative.
  • Developed knowledge of computer software packages (including Microsoft Office – particularly Word & Excel).

Benefits

Salary: $76, ,317.00 per annum, dependant on relevant skills and qualifications.

Permanent staff are entitled to:

  • 5 weeks annual leave per year
  • The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
  • Minimum of 12% superannuation employer contribution
  • Superannuation co-contribution offered to a maximum of 5%
