Southern Cross Tours provides all-inclusive day and night tours of the Gold Coast Hinterland. Operating on the Gold Coast for 26 years.

The Tours:

The tours are conducted in medium size buses with small groups up to 24 passengers. Tours include the breathtaking views and wildlife of Mt Tamborine, Springbrook, Lamington National Park, O'Reilly's and other majestic scenes that the Gold Coast has to offer.

Job Description:

As a driver/guide for Southern Cross Tours, you will enjoy being in a customer facing environment as you provide exceptional guided tour experiences. You will be responsible for every aspect of the smooth running of our tours, in all seasons and weather conditions. You will deliver fun and informative commentary throughout the tour, whilst ensuring safety standards and itinerary timings are met. You will be able to adapt to any environment, and be able to remain calm under pressure. You will have a basic understanding, appreciation and respect for aboriginal history and culture. Our most popular tour is our evening Glow Worms Tour, and as such, you will be required to be available from 4:30pm to 10:30pm.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a driver/guide combined position.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid QLD Drivers Authorisation Card with Queensland Transport or willingness to acquire prior to employment.
  • Current MR or HR Driver License or willingness to acquire prior to employment.
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to acquire prior to employment.
  • Current CPR Certificate or willingness to acquire prior to employment.
  • You may also be asked to provide a recent traffic history report.

MUST be available to work evenings.
