CASUAL BAR TEAM MEMBERS

Australian Turf Club is looking for experienced Bar, Bar Useful, Cellarman, or Bar Setup team members to join our team, at our Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens venues during the 2025 Spring Carnival.

This is a casual position with shifts available Monday to Sunday, supporting both carnival operations and various business and social events throughout the year.

Additionally, there is particularly high demand for availability during our carnival season which runs from 20 September to 8 November.

Key dates, during Spring Carnival include:

  • Saturday 20th September – Royal Randwick
  • Saturday 27th September – Rosehill Gardens
  • Saturday 4th October – Royal Randwick
  • Saturday 11th October - Rosehill Gardens
  • Saturday 18th October – Royal Randwick
  • Saturday 25th October - Royal Randwick
  • Saturday 1st November - Rosehill Gardens
  • Tuesday 4th November – Royal Randwick
  • Saturday 8th November - Rosehill Gardens

Responsibilities:

  • Serve food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
  • Operate tills and process payments (card)
  • Serve drinks according to RSA guidelines
  • Restock fridges and bar supplies
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe bar & kitchen area
  • Check IDs and uphold responsible service of alcohol laws
  • Manage Stock Levels of alcohol and beverages
  • Tap and untap kegs, ensure lines are clean
  • Assist with the delivery and movement of kegs and cartons
  • Support bar and venue operations teams

What we're looking for:

  • RSA certification (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in bar service or event hospitality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to efficiently operate POS
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation
  • Quick learners who prioritise the customer experience, communicate well and ensure team camaraderie
