Bance Funeral Services are seeking an empathetic and well-presented individual to join our Funeral Director/ Mortuary Care team on a full-time basis, replacing a staff member who is moving into retirement.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Support funeral operations by meeting with bereaved families to plan and arrange funerals

  • Coordinate all aspects of funeral service in line with our business' standards

  • Approach all clientele with a sensitive approach

  • Maintain a high standard of grooming and personal presentation

  • Assist with daily operations of the business

Qualifications & attributes:

  • Excellent personal presentation and professionalism within the job

  • Strong customer service skills and delicate approach

  • Keen organisation skills and an eye for detail

  • Good physical fitness to complete manual handling duties

  • Availability for out-of-hours on-call roster (approximately 1 week in 4)

  • High proficiency with technology

  • Familiarity with audio-visual technology is advantageous

  • Current Australian driver's licence
