The Manager, Portfolio Governance is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the governance of projects, programs, and portfolios are in alignment with regulatory standards and business requirements. This role involves implementing controls to achieve desired outcomes, managing risks actively and detecting issues early for timely intervention.  You will ensure governance frameworks meet standards, add real value and shape high-impact outcomes.

Key Accountabilities  

  • Implement appropriate controls across the Portfolio to ensure outcomes and objectives are realised.
  • Actively manage risks and detecting issues early for timely intervention.
  • Maintain governance oversight by providing project governance reporting including insights and recommendations, and support to key governance forums.
  • Build successful relationships and collaborate with delivery leaders and the wider business.
  • Challenge stakeholders when necessary to ensure projects meet governance, risk, and financial requirements.

What we're looking for:

  • Deep knowledge of governance frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Prince2) and experience in applying these to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Proven track record of managing risk, facilitating governance forums, and driving strategic alignment in project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Financial Services or Superannuation is essential
  • PMP Certification (or similar) is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders when necessary.
