About the role:
We're looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to take ownership of testing across our financial products. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through effective test planning, execution, and automation. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to define acceptance criteria, identify issues early, and continuously improve testing processes. This is a hands-on position that combines technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration to drive quality outcomes at scale.
What you'll do:
- Lead all testing activities across multiple product teams.
- Plan, estimate, design, and execute test scenarios, cases, and procedures.
- Conduct manual and automated API testing, regression, performance, and security testing.
- Identify, raise, and prioritise defects - collaborating with developers and product teams to ensure resolution.
- Work with Product Owners, BAs and Staff Engineers to define acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and contribute to release management processes.
- Ensure validated deliverables meet all functional and design specifications.
- Promote continuous improvement in testing practices and tools.
- Take initiative in driving quality assurance activities and mentoring others in QA best practices.
What you'll bring:
- 6+ years' experience in Quality Assurance (may include 1–2 years in development).
- 2–3+ years' experience in automation testing (JavaScript preferred).
- Experience within the Finance or Payments domain.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and delivery practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to balance hands-on testing with leadership and process improvement.
