We are looking for a cooking demonstrator who can champion several premium brands of cooking products.

Known for their unrivalled features, functionality & performance, these brands offer outstanding performance, precision and reliability – and we are looking for a chef demonstrator to match & join the existing team in VIC.

Your Role:

  • To perform cooking demonstrations in selected retail outlets across the Melbourne metro area on Saturday & Sunday's, with some weekday demos between Wed - Fri from time to time.
  • Engaging customers through your passion for food whilst showcasing select product benefits and features by cooking up several dishes that will always highlight 2-3 key appliance's as you run your demo with pre booked / walk in attendees.
  • You'll be involved in developing & cooking simple but impressive menus fit for the foodie at home, whilst communicating all the ins / outs of the unrivalled features and key selling points of the products you will be demonstrating. The food you serve up is to simply showcase what the appliances can do.
  • To perform highly targeted cooking demonstrations on average 2-4 per month in retail outlets from March to November.
  • Be passionate about the brand and its products in order to genuinely communicate and sell product features, benefits, settings, pricing and promotional activities. Thorough training will totally immerse you in the brand(s) to provide you with the tools and knowledge to deliver on this.
  • Build real relationships with customers and retailers to optimise brand positioning in the market and maximise brand presence at all times.
  • Complete all administrative & reporting required on a weekly basis  or after each demo in a detailed, constructive and timely manner.
  • All activity will be HACCP compliant & meet all state Food safety guidelines.

Competencies:

  • Demonstrate a sales background or ability to sell whilst cooking and educating to a small audience of PRE and POST purchase customers.
  • Ability to cook and present outstanding food with passion & flair
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Possibly some food teaching experience – not essential but an advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a MUST.
  • Self-motivated and extremely reliable, so once booked you are committed
  • Customer service focused with an ability to entertain
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships both at store and retailer level
  • HACCP / food safety Supervisor certified

This role would suit a perfectionist at heart who is detailed focused and loves communicating key selling points of several great high end product ranges. Ideally you work some week days and are looking for something additional or different on some weekdays but mainly weekends, but most of all you love food & people..
