We're looking for an experienced Reception Team Leader with a strong background in General Practice reception to join our busy and supportive team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll set the standard for patient care, team culture, and reception excellence.

About the Role

As Reception Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead, support, and motivate our reception team to deliver outstanding service.
  • Be the first point of contact for patient queries, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Manage rosters, workflow, and daily reception operations.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and feedback to reception staff.
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and management to streamline processes.
  • Handle escalated patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ensure compliance with practice policies, privacy standards, and accreditation requirements.

About You

You're an A-player – driven, professional, and passionate about patient care. You thrive in a fast-paced GP environment and lead by example. You are confident, organised, and approachable, with the ability to bring out the best in your team.

You'll also have:

  • Previous experience in GP reception (essential)
  • Strong leadership or supervisory experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Experience with medical software (Best Practice preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
