Join a collaborative and innovative team at Masada College, where creativity meets craftsmanship in our cutting-edge TAS Faculty. We're looking for a hands-on, organised and proactive TAS Assistant who loves helping others bring their ideas to life, from laser-cut models to 3D-printed prototypes. This role is required part time, 0.8 FTE on site during term time only, and is stood down over the school days, with the salary adjusted to account for this.

About the Role

In this role, you'll support teachers and students across Design & Technology and other TAS subjects by:

  • Preparing and maintaining materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensuring workshop safety, maintenance and WHS compliance.
  • Assisting in the setup of practical lessons and demonstrations.
  • Operating and maintaining modern workshop equipment including laser cutters, 3D printers and CAD/CAM machinery.
  • Supporting digital learning and resource creation using software such as OnGuard, Chemwatch, Adobe Suite, and more.
  • Keeping our workshop spaces safe, efficient and inspiring for students.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working in a practical, busy environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You'll bring:

  • Experience in a workshop, technical or design/technology support role.
  • Strong knowledge of tools, machinery and materials used in TAS settings.
  • A commitment to safety and sound understanding of WHS procedures.
  • Great communication and teamwork skills.
  • Solid computer literacy, especially with systems like OnGuard and Chemwatch.
