provide strategic advice on the best practice procurement and procurement strategies specialising in capital works projects.

What will you do?

As a Senior Team Member you play a pivotal role in developing people, managing change and influencing behaviours that create a supportive culture that respects the perspectives, talents and value of each individual.

The role of Senior Team Member includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

Developing team members and fulfilling a guiding, mentoring and advisory role.

Engage with key stakeholders and form project specific relationships, to ensure delivery of project outcomes in a successful and collaborative environment.

Manage project procurement, contract management activities, and participate in the negotiation of contracts and agreements, relating to the capital works projects.

Pursue, develop and nurture internal and external professional networks and collaborative working relationships to ensure the efficient and effective management of the AFP's capital works projects.

Maintain accurate records and comply with the reporting and other regulatory requirements of Government.

Provide sound advice to business on ways to improve of enhance their business practices

Ensuring appropriate action is taken to anticipate, communicate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and services.

Represent Central Procurement Services at various inter and intra agency meetings as required

Essential Requirements

You must be an Australian Citizen.

A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Demonstrated experience in project support, finance, administration including for example budgets, financial management, reporting, procurement and contract management.

Demonstrated understanding and working experience of Government procurement including policies and legislation.

Desirable Requirements

Demonstrated experience in delivering applicable corporate services

Knowledge of government and industry strategic initiatives

Additional Information

This is a AFP Band Level 6 Position.

This position has been advertised in multiple locations, however the role is located in the ACT. Successful applicants must be willing to relocate to the ACT.

We support flexible work arrangements, however it is expected that the successful applicants will work from the office at least 2-3 days per week for team connectivity and collaboration;

National or International travel may be required.
