We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Pathologist (Grade 2) to join our dynamic Allied Health team on a Part-Time (0.4EFT) ongoing basis.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Speech Pathologist - Grade 2 to provide high-quality clinical services across our inpatient and outpatient programs.

This position may include inpatient (acute or subacute) or outpatient caseloads, depending on the successful applicant's skill set and the needs of the department. You will also contribute to the supervision of speech pathology students, Grade 1 Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants, while taking a lead role in quality improvement initiatives.

The Speech Pathology Department provides regular supervision, supports professional development, and works within a friendly and energetic Allied Health team committed to delivering high-quality care with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based Speech Pathology services across inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
  • Supervise and support Grade 1 Speech Pathologists, students and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Actively contribute to and lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate within the Allied Health team to deliver client-centred, multidisciplinary care.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and support service innovation.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical Speech Pathology services.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Experience in supervision of staff and/or students.
  • Post-graduate education, research involvement, and previous participation in quality improvement activities will be highly regarded.
