Role & responsibilities

Business Architecture & Strategy
• Define and maintain the business architecture framework for Guidewire implementations.
• Align Guidewire capabilities with business strategies, goals, and operational models.
• Develop and maintain business capability maps, process flows, and value streams.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and digital transformation. Requirements & Solution Design
• Lead business requirements gathering and translate them into functional specifications.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and technical architects to design end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure business rules, workflows, and user experiences are accurately captured and implemented.
• Validate that solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to elicit requirements and drive consensus.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Internal - General Use Governance & Quality
• Ensure consistency and traceability of business requirements across projects.
• Support testing and validation efforts to ensure business functionality is delivered as expected.
• Contribute to change management and training strategies to support adoption. Guidewire Expertise
• Provide subject matter expertise on Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
• Stay current with Guidewire product updates and industry best practices.
• Support vendor coordination and solution evaluation when applicable.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in business architecture, business analysis, or enterprise transformation within the insurance domain.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance operations, including underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims.
• Proven experience in translating business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Data Model and Product Model.
• Experience working with Guidewire Digital applications and portals is a plus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate workshops with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Rally.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the insurance industry. Internal - General Use
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience in change management and user adoption strategies during large-scale implementations. Preferred Certifications:
• Guidewire Business Analyst or Architect Certification
• Certified Business Architect (CBA) or TOGAF
• Agile/Scrum certifications (CSPO, SAFe)
