Role Overview

The Forklift Driver position will work in with our Operations Manager tackling operating forklifts for loading and unloading, preparing orders for dispatch, running QC checks on all the products before dispatch, coordinating shipments, managing inventory, handling warehouse tasks, updating dispatch records, and maintaining safety standards in the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forklift Operation and Loading: Safely operate forklifts to load and unload excavator attachments, ensuring accurate placement and secure handling.
  • Order Preparation and Dispatch: Prepare orders for shipment, verify contents against dispatch notes, perform quality control checks on products to ensure they meet standards before dispatch, and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Assist in organizing warehouse layout, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and support overall warehouse efficiency.
Preferable Skills/Experience

Experience (Essential):

  • Valid forklift license and proven safe operating experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle warehouse and dispatch challenges.
  • Professional and safety-conscious demeanour.

Experience (Desirable):

  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy goods handling role.
