The Opportunity

We're hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer to lead mobile test automation across iOS & Android. You'll set direction and standards, mentor engineers, and stay hands-on—owning frameworks, CI/CD, and quality gates end-to-end.

What you'll do

  • Own the mobile automation approach (test pyramid, shift-left, standards).
  • Design/extend Appium frameworks (iOS & Android) in Java with clean architecture.
  • Implement Allure dashboards, quality KPIs, and data-driven insights.
  • Build and optimise pipelines in Azure DevOps (or similar): gates, parallel runs, artifacts.
  • Stabilise tests via WireMock/service virtualisation and CMS snapshot strategies.
  • Scale coverage on device farms (e.g., BrowserStack); drive flake reduction and parallelisation.
  • Lead triage, release readiness, risk communication, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Mentor QEs/SDETs (reviews, pairing, enablement); champion AI-assisted testing where valuable.

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years QA/Automation with recent mobile focus and proven technical leadership.
  • Strong Java (OOP, design patterns), Appium framework design, debugging iOS/Android nuances.
  • Allure reporting (or similar) and actionable metrics.
  • Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions—solid CI/CD fundamentals.
  • Agile delivery mindset; test pyramid & shift-left experience; excellent communication.

Nice to have

  • WireMock, contract stubs, synthetic data; CMS snapshot techniques.
  • BrowserStack (or similar) at scale.
  • AEM, contract testing (e.g., Pact), AI-based test tools; basic Swift/Kotlin literacy.
