About the Role

This role involves performing Security Risk Assessments (SRA), Security Impact Assessments (SIA), and reviewing existing Security Approvals to Operate (SATO). You will manage enterprise and group risks, integrate security requirements into IT projects, and ensure systems meet security standards before moving into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Cyber Security Risk Assessments and Security Impact Assessments
  • Review and re-evaluate Security Approvals to Operate (SATO) for compliance
  • Identify, assess, and prioritise security risks across systems and platforms
  • Develop mitigation strategies and ensure risks remain within tolerance levels
  • Prepare concise reports, briefings, and executive-level documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security requirements into IT projects

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of information security principles and risk frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, ISM, PSPF)
  • Experience in threat modelling, risk treatment planning, and control evaluation
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IaaS) and associated security risks
  • Proven ability to translate technical risk for non-technical audiences
  • Excellent reporting, briefing, and presentation skills for executive stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines with attention to detail

Australian Citizenship & Existing Baseline security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
