About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Waterproofing Teacher to contribute to impactful outcomes in the Construction Department at our Heidelberg campus. You'll play a key role in delivering strategic and operational services aligned with Melbourne Polytechnic's values. This is a great opportunity to contribute to curriculum development , drive industry engagement , and support student success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, deliver, and assess learning activities tailored to diverse student needs
  • Create inclusive and safe learning environments using contemporary teaching strategies
  • Maintain vocational and industry currency through professional development and engagement
  • Collaborate with industry and stakeholders to ensure relevant and high-quality training
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
  • Support student wellbeing and engagement through pastoral care and learning plans
  • Contribute to curriculum design, assessment validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
  • Relevant vocational qualifications and recent industry experience in waterproofing or wet trades
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent adult education qualification
  • Strong understanding of learner-centred teaching and inclusive education practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and student management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High-level ICT skills for e-learning and reporting
  • Commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Anti-Discrimination, and Continuous Improvement
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
