About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and competitive quotations for both existing and prospective clients. Your expertise will directly support project success and contribute to the overall performance of our estimating team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret electrical drawings and documentation to develop detailed time, cost, material, and labour estimates.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, supplier directories, and subcontractor registers.
  • Prepare estimates to support vendor/subcontractor selection and contract negotiations.
  • Participate in tender briefings and assist in bid strategy and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Operations to review and refine schedule of rates.
  • Ensure all submissions meet quality, technical, commercial, and financial benchmarks.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on tendering and estimating best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical estimating.
  • Solid understanding of WHS regulations and practices.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
  • Valid "C" Class Driver's Licence.
  • Proficiency in cost estimating software (WINEST preferred).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret HV transmission substation and transmission line drawings.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in utilities, construction, or resources sectors.
  • Valid CPR and Senior First Aid certifications.
