The Opportunity:

Join Komatsu's dedicated team at our Whyalla Branch as a Field Service Technician In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional service and support to our valued clients. Your expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery will be crucial in ensuring our equipment operates at peak performance for the Komatsu Whyalla Field Service Department.

As a Field Service Technician you will report to the Branch Manager, you'll work closely with a skilled team, leveraging your technical skills to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions that keep our clients' operations running smoothly.

Roster: 7/7 day shift roster, 12 hour days + OT and some night shift if required, occasional overnight travel

Role Located: Whyalla

Remuneration: $70,22 per hour + super

What we are looking for:

  • Certified Tradesperson/or qualified Plant Mechanic.
  • Previous experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role within the industry is highly regarded.
  • Holds a current driver's/or MR license.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service in line with our Customer Support Charter.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using computers, smartphones, and technology-based reporting systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use digital communication tools effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pride in workmanship.
  • Must have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office
