About the Role

As an Electrician at Essity, you will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and contributing to a safe working environment. This role supports flexible work practices and adaptability to changing business needs.

What You Will Do

• Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on production and distribution equipment. Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and robots. Perform tests to identify problems and calibrate equipment.

• Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards promptly. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

• Equipment Installation: Install new electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensure installations meet local electrical codes and regulations.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. Use SAP to manage work orders and inventory.

• Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance and operations teams. Communicate with store room personnel about spare parts and inventory.

• Upgrades: Assist in upgrading electrical systems to improve efficiency and reliability.

• Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and respond promptly to issues.

Who You Are

• Experience Must Haves:

  • Minimum A Grade Electrician

  • Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of local electrical regulations in Victoria, Australia

  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and diagrams

  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, robots, and control systems

  • Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

  • Working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, SAP preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety

  • Effective communication skills and teamwork ability

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

• Nice to Have:

  • Experience with continuous improvement processes

  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

  • Knowledge of 5S, safety, environment, and quality requirements
