We're partnering with a growing
game studio in Chatswood
building
international titles
across web and mobile. They're looking for a
Mid–Senior Front-End Developer
who lives and breathes modern JavaScript, cares about performance, and enjoys collaborating with artists, designers and back-end engineers to make game interfaces feel slick, responsive and fun.

start before Christmas
and be part of a new feature push,
or kick off fresh in the New Year

What You'll Be Doing

• Building
  high-quality game UIs
  using
  React and TypeScript
  for web and mobile players.
• Turning wireframes and visual concepts into
  polished, performant interfaces
  .
• Integrating with
  APIs
  , handling data flows and state management.
• Collaborating closely with designers, back-end engineers and producers to ship regular releases.
• Optimising for
  performance, responsiveness and smooth animations
  so interfaces feel "game ready," not just "good enough."
• Contributing to a modern front-end codebase with
  CI/CD
  , code reviews and best practices.

You'll be working in the
games genre on live projects
with international audiences, not just internal tools or static sites.

What You Already Bring

• 4+ years
  building and shipping front-end features in production environments.
• Strong experience with
  React
  and
  TypeScript
  – building reusable, component-based UIs.
• Good knowledge of
  modern JavaScript
  patterns and tooling.
• Experience with
  
  (APIs, integration, SSR or related back-end interaction).
• Comfort with
  Git
  and
  CI/CD pipelines
  (GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI or similar).
• A product mindset – you care how things
  feel
  for players, not just that they technically work.

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

• Mandarin language skills
  – a strong plus for internal communication, but
  not
  a deal breaker.
• Experience with
  
  , real-time features (
  WebSockets
  ) or performance profiling.
• Testing experience with
  Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress
  .
• Any exposure to
  game or graphics tech
  – Canvas, WebGL, PixiJS, or similar.

The Offer

• Location:
  On-site in a
  Chatswood studio
  – 5 days a week on a buzzing dev floor with a playtest corner.
• Salary:
  A$110k–$140k + super
  , depending on experience and where you sit on the mid–senior spectrum.
• Start Date:
• Option 1:
  Get in and start
  before Christmas
  to join current sprints, or
• Option 2:
  New Year start
  – begin 2026 with a brand-new role in games.
• Work rights:
  Full Australian work rights required (no sponsorship available this round).
