About Us

Mele Arts is an art education centre located in Mt Waverley and Point cook, operating since 2017. We are dedicated to inspiring children's creativity through structured yet flexible learning. Our classes are small and interactive, giving students the chance to explore art, build skills, and grow confidence. We provide a clear teaching outline that professional teachers can easily follow, while also encouraging teachers to bring in their own lesson plans and creative ideas.

We are now expanding to our Point Cook campus and are currently seeking passionate art teachers to join our growing team in Melbourne's western suburbs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging art lessons for children and teenagers in mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, markers, and coloured pencils.
  • Prepare lesson plans and class materials suitable for different age groups.
  • Manage small group classroom activities and provide individual guidance.
  • Support student art showcases, exhibitions, and community projects.

Requirements

  • Prior teaching experience in children's/youth art programs.
  • Strong skills in at least three of the following: acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, markers, coloured pencils.
  • Excellent communication skills with children and parents.
  • Ability to manage classes independently and create a fun learning atmosphere.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with art exams/competitions.
  • Proficiency in sketching or manga drawing will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Ability to close deals with parents (student enrolment conversion skills).

  • Hourly pay: $35–$45 (performance and experience). A bonus is available for consistent attendance with no absences throughout the year.
