Primary Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and test plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Assist licensed plumber with drainage, water supply, gas fitting, and sanitary systems.
- Interpret plans and specifications for plumbing layouts and installations.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and WHS protocols.
- Record job details including time, materials, and site conditions (often via apps like ServiceM8).
- Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- A team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to grow with the business and take on responsibility.
- Professional conduct, punctuality, and respect for supervisor, clients and colleagues.
Training & Development
- Completing Certificate III in Plumbing through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
- Where relevant, attend off-the-job training and provide evidence of progress.
- Maintain apprenticeship logbooks and competency records.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and ongoing skill development.
Supervision & Work Conditions
- Work under supervision of a licensed plumber and/or Proprietor.
- Where competent, perform tasks independently.
- Rotate across varied job sites and working conditions.
- May be required to travel or work overtime/weekends.
- Supportive team environment with experienced tradespeople.
- Ongoing mentorship to help you complete your apprenticeship.
- Exposure to a wide range of plumbing systems and projects.

Skills & Requirements
- Completion of Year 10 (Maths & English preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Responsible attitude toward timekeeping and safety.
- Physically fit for manual work and tool handling.
- Ownership of the basic plumbing tools to be used on-the-job.
- PPE ready: boots, hi-vis, gloves, glasses, hard hat.
