Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Occupational Therapist G2 to join the Broadmeadows Adult Inpatient Unit.

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About Mental Health Division:
Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.
Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.
We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.
About the Role:
This role delivers Occupational Therapy services to consumers admitted to the Broadmeadows Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (BIPU), part of Northern Health's (NH) acute mental health service.
NH provides multidisciplinary care for individuals with, or at risk of, serious mental illness.
Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions (e.g., sensory modulation, group programs), discharge planning, and liaising with community services and the NDIS to support consumers and their families/carers.
The role also involves close collaboration with the BIPU multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.
Occupational Therapists at NH are supported through structured supervision, professional development, and performance management frameworks.
This is a part time ongoing role - 64 hours per fortnight.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- An approved Degree from a recognised school of Occupational Therapy or other qualifications approved for eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapy (Vic.).
Current National Police and Working with Children History Check.
