About the role:

Premier Speedway Club is seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of this iconic motorsport's venue. In this full-time role, you will report direct to the board of management & will be responsible for the overall management and continued success of the club, ensuring that it remains a premier destination for speedway racing and community events. The position is based in Warrnambool, Victoria.

Position will entail:

· Manage the club as directed by the board of management & work closely with the Club President & Office Manager to ensure smooth & professional operations of the club.

· Provide strong leadership and strategic direction for the club, aligning all activities with the board's vision and objectives

· Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of all club operations, including event management, facility management, marketing, and financial management

· Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, competitors, and the local community

· Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive attendance, enhance the fan experience, and diversify revenue streams

· Manage and lead a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development

· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

· Represent the club at industry events and participate in industry associations to stay informed of trends and best practices

· Attend & participate in all board meetings

· Actively seek sponsorship for the club & maintain strong relationships with new & existing partners

· Act as the club promoter in all respects & oversee the marketing & promotion of the club.

Key selection criteria:

· Significant experience in a senior leadership role within the motorsports, events, or hospitality industries

· Demonstrated success in driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer experience

· Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders

· Strong financial management and budgeting skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and make informed decisions

· Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams

· Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

· Drive and a commitment to the continued growth and success of Premier Speedway Club
