About us:

Sydney Visual Arts Academy, a leading art school in Sydney, is expanding We are currently hiring experienced art teachers to join our team of professional artists and animation filmmakers.

About the Role:

  • Teaching fundamental art skills weekdays and Saturdays
  • Delivering engaging art lessons to students 5-18 yrs old
  • Providing feedback to individual students
  • Full training in our art curriculum will be provided

About you:

  • Advanced drawing skills ESSENTIAL in one or more of the following areas; still life, portrait, landscape painting, graphic novel or children's book illustration
  • Passionate about art and have a desire to share your expertise with students
  • Qualifications in Visual Arts, Fine Arts or Design (current students are welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching primary and/or high school students desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confident, positive, and approachable personality
  • Reliable, punctual and honest
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is essential. This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your employment.
