Regular Maintenance Gardener – Part-Time (30–38 hrs/week)

We're looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Gardener to join our growing team at Iris Lawn & Garden Care — a premium landscaping and garden maintenance business known for its attention to detail and high-end service.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position offering 30–38 hours per week with above-award pay ($35–$42/hr depending on experience). You'll be maintaining a portfolio of residential and commercial gardens, ensuring they're kept immaculate year-round.

Duties include

  • Routine lawn and garden maintenance (mowing, edging, pruning, hedge trimming, weeding, etc.)
  • Use of power tools and machinery (whipper snippers, hedge trimmers, blowers, mowers)
  • Chemical weed control and fertiliser application
  • Identifying and addressing plant health issues
  • Working independently and efficiently to a high standard
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional appearance

Requirements

Current Driver's Licence (manual preferred)

Chemical Handling Certificate (AQF3 or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years' experience in garden or grounds maintenance

Strong plant and horticultural knowledge (qualification preferred but not essential)

Physically fit and able to perform manual labour

Able to work in all weather conditions

High attention to detail and pride in your work

Reliable, punctual, and strong communication skills

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience with ServiceM8 or similar job management software
  • Horticulture Certificate III or higher
  • Trailer or towing experience
