The role is responsible for ensuring MMG's employees are communicated with in a timely and engaging way and feel connected to the business and its success. Additionally, the role is responsible for interacting and sharing information with stakeholders including investors, community and the public to help build a positive reputation for MMG.
Key accountabilities
- Develop and manage MMG's employee communications 12-month plan including Townhalls, leader communications, internal campaigns and email announcements. Undertake regular evaluation/measurement and recommend best practice processes and ideas. Manage and optimise MMG's internal communications channels including email (with oversight of distribution lists and email marketing software) & sections of the intranet. 
- Provide communications advice and support including scripting for Townhalls, speeches, messaging, Q&As and briefing notes. 
- Contributor to key (often cross functional) projects that require communications support i.e. new site acquisitions, corporate strategy & narrative development, sustainability initiatives and MMG's leadership conference. 
- Editor for MMG's all of company newsletter including the editorial pipeline (i.e. story sourcing and writing) plus measurement. Author employee updates and announcements from the day-to-day (i.e. employee awards and People & Culture survey reminders) to the critical (i.e. safety campaigns and financial performance). 
- Key contributor to MMG's digital channels inc. the proactive development of written/visual content. Work closely with the Digital Communications advisor, China Relations and colleagues at site/corporate offices to source timely and interesting company news. 
- Oversee MMG internal and external announcements including development of written materials, translations and distribution. Online and/or in person event management as required. Contributor to MMG's results announcements and reporting suite including researching and writing CEO letters and other sections as needed. 
- Maintain relationships with site Communications and Stakeholder Relations teams, providing best practice advice and supporting on the development of collateral as required. 
- Administrative duties including internal reporting requirements, invoice management, budget tracking and media monitoring. 
- Work on projects and perform other duties as reasonably directed.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
- Strong project management including ability to deliver to tight deadlines and budgets.

Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences
- Undergraduate qualifications in communications, community relations or business is highly desirable.
