Your New Role
This permanent position centres on a 0.2 FTE allocation as Curriculum Coordinator, with additional responsibilities tailored to the needs of the school and the expertise of the successful applicant.

The Curriculum Coordinator provides leadership in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation across the school. Working collaboratively with the leadership team and teaching staff, the role ensures curriculum alignment, fosters consistency of practice, and supports the integration of evidence-based pedagogy to improve student outcomes.

In addition to curriculum leadership, the role may also incorporate responsibilities in priority areas, such as Mathematics Focus Teacher, Literacy Instructional Coaching, Classroom teaching or Intervention Support work. The scope of these responsibilities will be determined in consultation with the Principal and Assistant Principal and aligned with the school's improvement annual improvement plan.

Coordinator appointments are three-year contracts, with the option of renewal for an additional three years subject to ongoing successful performance reviews.

Selection Criteria

  • Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to the Catholic Faith
  • An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the new K-6 English and Mathematics syllabus and the ability to implement effective pedagogical practices
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality teaching and learning with a focus on student growth.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Mathematics instruction, Literacy coaching, or Intervention strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative and respectful relationships.
  • Capacity to lead colleagues in curriculum planning and professional practice.
  • Skills to analyse and interpret data to support teaching teams
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and contribution to whole-school improvement.
  • Is able to develop a positive learning environment using effective classroom management strategies that enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes in accordance with the Positive Behaviours for Learning framework
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents, Parish priests and the wider community
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Successful Candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check
  • Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category C, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or working towards Accreditation.
