Project Manager

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to directly support UnitingSA's digital transformation as our newest Project Manager.

Play a key role in delivering initiatives that enable digital transformation and organisational improvement.

The role combines structured project management expertise with the ability to motivate and engage people. The Project Manager brings clarity and direction to complex initiatives, coordinating diverse stakeholders, managing risks, and maintaining momentum to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of project initiatives that drive the strategic objectives of UnitingSA
• Collaborating to develop, define and implement project management methodologies and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards
• Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors and assemble project teams and assigns roles and responsibilities to team members
• Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals and timelines are met and within approved budget
• Conducts regular project meetings, provide updates, address concerns and ensure that all parties are informed about project progress
• Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness
• Keep accurate records, by maintaining project documentation including project plans, progress reports, change requests, and other relevant records
• Ensure a smooth project closure and transition to business as usual including decommissioning tasks as required

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience with ICT project management is desirable
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role and have ability to inspire others
• Highly developed communication and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of Project Management principles and methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering complex projects and portfolio management aligned to core principles (PMBOK, Prince2, Agile or similar)
• Demonstrable experience in project planning and delivery, delivered across a large organisation involving multiple stakeholders and vendor partners
• Experienced in managing multiple diverse stakeholder groups, including end-user, SME's and vendor partners
• Experience in establishing, managing and reporting on budgeted vs actual performance and forecasting.
