Description
Lead and oversee HVAC drafting and design processes for major projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders while mentoring a team of draftspersons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop drafting team; set objectives and review performance.
- Project Coordination: Work with project managers and engineers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Implement drafting standards and conduct QA checks on all drawings.
- Technology Integration: Adopt new software and tools to improve efficiency.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources and maintain project dashboards.
- Training & Development: Provide training and foster continuous learning.
- Communication: Facilitate collaboration between drafting, engineering, and project teams.
Profile
You will be an experienced HVAC draftsperson with at least 5+ years' industry experience, strong technical knowledge, and proven leadership skills. You'll bring proficiency in drafting software and BIM tools, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to working with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders. A growth mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality are essential.
A successful candidate should have:
- Associate degree in Drafting or Mechanical Engineering Technology (Bachelor's desirable).
- 5+ years' experience in HVAC or construction drafting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant drafting software and BIM tools. (Revit, Navisworks)
- Knowledge of Australian workplace regulations and compliance.
