We're now seeking a Programme Manager – Coastal & Maritime who possesses high potential, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to inspire teams to deliver smarter, more strategic outcomes.

This is a pivotal role in our APAC Environment team, responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of projects focused on coastal, marine and maritime environments. You'll not only ensure consistent delivery excellence, but you'll also play a key role in identifying and securing high-value work with strategic customers.

This role can be based in any of our Australian offices, with a preference for
Brisbane
or
Perth
due to team alignment.

Key Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the delivery and performance of BMT's Coastal and Maritime Environment Programme across APAC.
• Inspire and guide a network of project and technical leads to achieve high-impact outcomes across complex, multidisciplinary work.
• Drive customer excellence—developing trusted, long-term relationships with key clients and positioning BMT as a partner of choice.
• Embed strong commercial discipline across the programme, ensuring clear oversight of project profitability, forecasting, and risk.
• Collaborate with technical leaders and business development teams to expand our influence in strategic markets, including port development, marine infrastructure, and nature-based coastal resilience.
• Play an active role in BMT's broader leadership community, contributing to culture, strategy and innovation.

About You
What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of experience in coastal or maritime engineering, marine environmental consultancy, or related programme leadership roles—ideally within a technical consultancy or project environment.
• Strong leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams, and building high-performance project delivery cultures.
• A proven track record of winning work and influencing clients at a senior level, especially in complex or multi-stakeholder environments.
• Sound commercial acumen, able to balance delivery quality with project profitability and long-term value creation.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science or a related field.
