Rock Sugar is looking for experienced wait staff who can handle a section, serve with a smile and deliver a high standard of customer service. We also host lots of private functions in our event space creating more diversity and opportunities for our team.

What's on offer?

2-3 shifts per week available (evening shifts), approximately 10 hours per week. Must be available on Fridays & Saturdays (no late nights required). Additional hours do pop up if extra shifts are desired.

Many of our staff are studying or managing a second day job. We are flexible with hours and do our best to accommodate any scheduling requests.

A typical roster:

Friday: 6pm-10:30pm

Saturday: 6pm-10:30pm (possibly saturday lunch if events are booked)

Weeknight shifts: 6:30pm-9:30pm

Our ideal candidate has experience in managing a section, someone who is super organised and able to multi-task but most importantly has a strong team focus. We have a close knit team at Rock Sugar with very low staff turnover. We are known for our kind yet attentive service and the generous tips from customers are a reflection of this.

Duties Include: Managing a section

Engaging with customers, Communicating with the kitchen

Taking orders, Running food/drink orders, Taking payments

Staff Benefits: Staff meal at end of shift

RSA certificate and previous experience managing a section is essential. Events experience highly desirable.
