Position objectives
You will join the business as the technical subject matter expert for high voltage (HV) substation design for the connection assets on their renewable energy projects.

This position is very broad in function and will see you involved in:

  • Leading HV substation design through all project phases (early development, tender phase, ECI and construction)
  • Guide site layout and sizing for the substations HV primary equipment (transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, busbars)
  • Assist the contracts team during contact negotiations for HV primary equipment
  • During construction, managing the Owners Engineer and EPC design team and chairing design workshops

You

  • Primary design specialist with a depth of HV substation design (ideally 330kV and above) for greenfield builds and connection assets for renewables projects
  • Able to create concept design and high level pricing guides for substations from an early development phase
  • Tender (RFT) phase experience reviewing and amending technical specifications]
