Job DescriptionAs a Recoveries and DCA Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maximising recovery of written -off accounts while ensuring all actions align with legislative requirements and VWFS values. You'll manage the recovery process end-to-end, liaise with third parties, and act as a subject matter expert for skip tracing within the department.
What you'll do
- Recover funds from written-off accounts, achieving monthly targets.
- Make sound, strategic decisions when negotiating repayments or initiating enforcement action.
- Implement and monitor appropriate recovery actions and legal processes.
- Liaise professionally with third parties including legal firms, administrators, and recovery agents, managing associated budget and costs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records.
- Conduct skip tracing using a variety of search tools to locate customers and assist Collections team.
- Prepare and maintain reporting for the recoveries function, providing management with accurate data and insights.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support a collaborative environment.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Collections and/ or Loss Recoveries.
Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines, including PPSR, NCCP, Privacy Act, AML/CTF Act, ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines and Corporations Act.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a firm yet respectful phone manner.
- An ability to identify and develop alternative solutions for complex recovery cases.
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
- Self -motivation, resilience and ability to handle challenging or demanding interactions.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance (desirable)
