$129,464 to $142,666 plus Employers contribution to superannuation and leave loading

Your role

As a manager, you will lead and manage the Child Protection Coordination and Support Unit (CPCSU) to provide the delivery of high-quality services to internal and external stakeholders.

Provide leadership, advice and representation to ensure Corrective Services NSW meets its legislative responsibilities under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998, as well as those contained in the NSW Government's Interagency Guidelines for Child Protection Intervention.

What you'll do

  • Managing the service delivery of large volumes of workload within tight deadlines.
  • Communicating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to provide service delivery in a sensitive and complex environment.
  • Managing consistency in adherence to child protection policy state-wide across internal stakeholders in a sensitive focus area.
  • Develop, maintain, implement and review policies and procedures relating to the safety and well-being of children under 18 years of age who visit correctional centres, including the Child Contact Assessment Policy (CCAP).
  • Manage the CCAP risk assessment process, including allocation of workload, monitoring the progress of applications, reviewing reports and making decisions regarding approval or decline of requests.

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in Justice related studies or relevant work experience.
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role
