  • Assist in the program of work to ensure the claims handling performance targets set by the Insurance Committee are achieved.
  • Review and provide high level technical advice regarding technical reports relating to claims under the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.
  • Review and approve scopes of work and variations for claims under the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.
Candidate AttributesThe ideal candidate will:
  • Currently hold a builders licence from QBCC in Queensland (mandatory).
  • Possess a Current Driver's Licence (Motor Vehicle) and have a good driving record (mandatory)
  • Achieves results by providing high level guidance on the application of legislation, policies and procedures and building organisational capability and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate with the team to deliver consistencies on approach to claims processes.
  • Apply contemporary building standards, practices, legislation and codes within the construction industry, including demonstrated ability to supervise the performance of all building work.
  • High level interpersonal, consultative, negotiation and mediation skills as well as investigative, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage cases particularly related to a highly technical environment.
Desirable
  • Whilst not mandatory, previous claim experience in the building and construction and insurance industries would be highly regarded.
