We are seeking a dedicated Health Information and Data Analyst to join our multidisciplinary team. This role offers opportunity to provide evidence based approach in improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of clients and communities. This position is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing, and interpreting clinical and program data to support service planning, performance monitoring, and continuous quality improvement.
This exceptionally professional and committed staff member will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Analysis of data from clinical, demographic and other organisational data sources
• Presentation of data to suit different teams and purposes, both internal and external
• Oversee the work of the Medicare Officer, supporting high performance in Medicare Benefits Scheme revenue processes and keeping abreast of opportunities for MBS income generation growth
• Keep up-to-date with changes to relevant statutory and administrative data requirements
• Maintain highest standards of professional conduct
We are looking for an analytical person who has:
• Demonstrated high level skills and experience in health data management including collating, interpreting and presenting data from various sources.
• Understanding of MBS processes and reporting, including Item Numbers related to Medicare Services.
• Highly developed analytical, interrogation and report writing skills, with an ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data. Strong mathematical and numeracy skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High level of competence in the use of computer-based applications for data and reporting.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electronic medical record platforms and data extraction tools.
• Presentation skills – ability to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas.
• Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, needs and services.
