Job Description

We're on the lookout for qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to work with our expanding New York and Miami teams. Supporting key commercial and residential construction projects, this role will perform various quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.

This role is responsible for:

• Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
• Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
• Master-plan and feasibility budgets
• Cost checking of developing design
• Value engineering
• Bid evaluations and analysis
• Contract negotiations
• Cash flow projects
• Procurement
• Cost reporting
• Evaluation of change orders
• Valuations
• Final account reporting
• Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
• Investment analysis
• Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management (minimum 4-year degree)
• Full Australian Citizenship + Australian Passport to satisfy USA visa requirements
• RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
• Proficient in the use of Cost X
• Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
