Automation Test Specialist – Federal Government ( NV1 Clearance Required )

Hatchit Studios is seeking experienced
Automation Test Specialists
to support a federal government client in delivering and maintaining automated testing capabilities across enterprise applications.

You'll join a small, collaborative team of Automation Specialists driving quality assurance within agile delivery environments.

About the Opportunity

You will:

  • Design, develop and maintain
    automated test suites, playbooks and scripts
    aligned with enterprise testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with multiple
    agile delivery teams
    to define release scope and test objectives.
  • Execute
    functional, integration and regression testing
    for each program increment (PI).
  • Identify and track defects through to resolution using continuous feedback loops.
  • Build dashboards and reports to communicate automation outcomes and test coverage.
  • Provide expert guidance on test automation tools, frameworks and CI/CD best practices.
  • Attend occasional onsite sessions for onboarding or planning (1–2 times per quarter).

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience working within a team of Automation Specialists on large-scale ICT projects.
  • Strong expertise with
    Selenium, Postman, Swagger and Cucumber
    automation tools.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining
    CI/CD pipelines
    and version control integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders and vendors.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple activities, priorities and dependencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Desirable:
    experience with
    C# and JavaScript
    for automation scripting and framework customisation.
