Senior Accountant

Location: Brisbane, QLD

About the Client

Our are an established Public Practice Accounting firm and are part of a trusted financial services group, delivering expert tax, bookkeeping, and advisory solutions to individuals and businesses.  Known for their holistic approach, strong client relationships, and commitment to long-term success. The company is currently entering an exciting phase of transformation and growth.

We're now looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join the team and contribute to this journey.

The Role

This person will primarily manage the client relationships, mentor, as well as supervise junior team members both on and offshore. You'll play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day administration, maintaining client records, and helping to deliver a positive client experience. We want someone eager to learn, grow, and develop alongside the firm as our systems and client base expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review the preparation of documents, client onboarding, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage client communication via phone and email, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  • Maintain accurate records and support the implementation of new process-driven systems.
  • Liaise with advisers, accountants, and clients to coordinate meetings, documents, and outcomes.
  • Contribute to a high-quality client experience and help build long-term client relationships.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in Public Accounting practice at a Senior Level
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Xero PM; experience with CRM or practice management software is an advantage.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and willing to grow with the firm as responsibilities expand.
  • A team player with a client-first mindset
