A Day in the Life of a Project Development Lead at Transgrid:

• Lead Project Development: Oversee teams during bid proposals, scoping, and feasibility studies. Develop reports and proposals, prepare cost and time estimates, and assess project feasibility.
• Design Coordination: Develop design delivery strategies, coordinate internally delivered design, contractor design, and manage procurement of external engineering and design services.
• Monitor and Report: Track project budgets and timelines, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with management.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing them to achieve positive project outcomes.
• Process Improvement: Support the development and implementation of systems and controls and contribute to the review and improvement of procedures and work instructions.

 What we expect from you:  

• Engineering tertiary qualifications at university degree level in Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• Extensive knowledge and demonstrated employment experience in the Power Industry.
• Comprehensive and demonstrated experience in project development, project management, project scheduling, and/or project estimating.
• Good understanding of the role and requirements of planning in regulatory agencies and competitive infrastructure processes.
• Proven business acumen and project development, management, program administration, and reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing adapting as required based on the audience.
