Site Caretaker

About the role

Wolfram Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced Site Caretaker on a 5/2-4/3 or a 9/5 DIDO roster to join our growing team at our Mt Carlton gold operations in QLD. As a full-time Site Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in overseeing providing effective ongoing maintenance and repairs to all non-core/non-production related site utilities, accommodation buildings, recreation and garden area, access roads and infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing general maintenance and repairs on camp buildings, infrastructure, and equipment
2. Provide assistance with monitoring and maintaining the camp's utilities, such as water treatment and waste management systems
3. Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address any issues
4. Liaise with contractors and suppliers to coordinate site works and deliveries
5. Ensure the camp facilities are kept clean, tidy and well-presented at all times
6. Support the wider team as needed with site-related tasks and projects
7. Adhering to all relevant site safety and environmental regulations, and promoting a culture of safety

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience in a similar site caretaker or handyman role, ideally within a remote mine site setting
2. Strong practical skills and the ability to carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
4. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and security
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote, mine setting
6. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to go the extra mile
7. A current driver's licence required, a forklift licence desirable
