Synergie is seeking a Chemist Collectorsfor Our leading waste management company located in NSW.

This weekend Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th

Location: Miranda

The important parts:

  • Start Time: Day shift role - 7:30AM - 3:30PM
  • Pay rate: Time 1/2 - $46.98ph | Double time - $61.66ph
  • Looking for someone to start immediately - Saturday and Sundays

What you will be required to do:

A Summary of the role

  • Sort and classify a range of liquid and paint-based household hazardous wastes
  • Prevent incompatible chemicals from mixing, ensuring safe onsite segregation
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure correct labeling, packaging, and documentation
  • Provide technical support to staff and members of the public on acceptable waste types
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and Cleanaway's HSEQ policies

To be successful in the role you will:

Documentation & Quality

  • Compile accurate manifests for quoting and waste classification.
  • Maintain high standards in documentation, paperwork, and reporting.

Team & Stakeholder Support

  • Assist site management and operators with waste assessment, sampling, labelling, and treatment.
  • Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager, Operations Supervisor, and Branch Manager.
  • Engage with customers for technical requirements and support.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Applied Science, or related field
  • Solid knowledge of chemical compatibility and hazardous waste handling
  • Familiarity with NSW EPA waste classification guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Comfortable working outdoors on weekends and engaging with the public
  • Drivers License and own transport required

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Applied Science, or related field
  • Solid knowledge of chemical compatibility and hazardous waste handling
