Primary objective
The Assistant Director will foster positive partnerships that enable Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services (SWIPS)
program and service delivery. The role will foster partnerships by developing SWIPS stakeholder strategy, providing guidance to SWIPS
staff about stakeholder relationship management, and overseeing strategic communications with SWIPS clients and stakeholders. The
Assistant Director will cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including intra- and inter-
Agency contacts, clients and representative organisations.

Context statement
Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services is part of Inclusion and Engagement Services, which provides differentiated
support services to reform inclusion and improve engagement and access to learning for children, students and communities. Student
Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services provides advice, guidance and support to clients and stakeholders to ensure all children
and students are welcomed into an inclusive learning environment and are able to engage effectively with education and learn to their full
potential.

Key duties and responsibilities
Manage effective liaison and communications between SWIPS and its stakeholders to seek feedback, drive continuous service

improvement, and ensure high levels of stakeholder support and satisfaction.
Develop and manage strategic advice and stakeholder engagement support to assist SWIPS leaders in reflective practice regarding

SWIPS programs, projects, policy and service effectiveness and improvement.
Develop and maintain effective engagement and collaborative partnerships with local, interjurisdictional and national stakeholders

regarding inclusion and wellbeing policy and frameworks.
Develop, facilitate and manage strategic stakeholder engagement and communication planning for SWIPS, including management of

processes to quality assure stakeholder communications.
Collate and analyse data and information and prepare high level correspondence, submissions, plans and reports as required, to enable

the Minister, the Chief Executive and senior managers to carry out their function effectively.

3. Highly developed written, oral and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to produce a high-level
performance reporting, feedback, recommendations and insights.

4. Demonstrated a strong a cross-cultural understanding skill with the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of internal and
external stakeholders' groups from diverse cultural backgrounds, in particular Aboriginal and young people and their families across
socio-economic, geographic and cultural groups.

5. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to manage the complexity of multiple and competing task and priorities.

Tertiary qualification or other formal training in a discipline relevant to the position.
