Temporary Accounts Officer

Our client is a well-established haulage company based in Murrarie, delivering reliable and efficient transport solutions across Queensland. They are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their team on a temporary 4-week basis.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing, with a focus on matching to job sheets
  • Handling accounts administration, including accounts queries and inter-entity charges
  • Assisting with job allocations, booking jobs with clients and subcontractors
  • Supporting the maintenance of plant and equipment records
  • Office administration tasks as required
  • Managing small project accounting for one entity
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Processing inter-entity transactions
  • Carrying out month-end procedures
  • Processing company credit card transactions
  • Reconciling statements and maintaining registers
  • Posting and processing journals

Essentials:

  • Must be immediately available
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Accounts Officer role
  • Prior experience using MYOB accounting software
  • Experience in the transport or logistics industry highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask across a range of functions
  • Solid understanding of accounting procedures and inter-entity transactions
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
