Lead the Future of Data & Analytics Transformation – Join Our Centre of Excellence

Are you passionate about the transformative power of cloud data and analytics? Are you ready to help Australia's public sector unlock greater efficiency and insight through smarter data strategies and migrations?

Join SAP and take the lead in a bold new initiative that's redefining how key government agencies harness the potential of SAP Business Data Cloud and advanced analytics. With the establishment of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Federal Australian Agencies, we're assembling a high-performance team to guide major agencies through the "how" of data and analytics transformation—delivering proven strategy, expert implementation, and scalable, lasting impact.

This high-profile, strategic initiative will begin as an 18-month transformation programme, serving as your initial assignment. Upon completion, you'll transition into the broader Customer Success and Delivery area, extending best practices and knowledge gained to drive ongoing value for our clients. This is your opportunity to set new industry benchmarks and drive real transformation where it matters most.

As a Principal Business Process Consultant specialising in SAP Business Data Cloud and Analytics, you will architect and design complex data and analytics solutions, provide strategic leadership, and guide both regional and global teams. You will play a key role in shaping strategy, delivering impactful solutions, and building trusted relationships with government stakeholders.

Please note: As this role supports the Australian Public Sector, Australian citizens with the capability to secure and maintain government security clearance are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design end-to-end data management and analytics solutions using SAP Business Data Cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic advisory to Federal Government clients, developing data strategies and roadmaps that align with public sector objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and mentor delivery teams, providing technical direction and best practice guidance at both regional and global levels.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders (including C-level and government executives) to understand business needs, facilitate workshops, and drive business use case discovery.
  • Oversee the implementation of data integration, modelling, and analytics solutions, ensuring quality and consistency across projects.
  • Maintain deep expertise in SAP's data and analytics portfolio, with a focus on SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the CoE and across the wider SAP community.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing across the CoE and globally.
  • Support the sales process as a subject matter expert, including proposal development, solution scoping, and customer presentations.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP and government project methodologies, including Activate and relevant public sector frameworks.

  • Proven expertise in solution architecture and design for large-scale data and analytics platforms, ideally within the SAP ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, and instruct teams across regions and on a global scale, fostering knowledge transfer and capability uplift.
  • Solid understanding of cloud concepts, data architecture, and enterprise data management in a public sector context.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or for government agencies, ideally within the Federal Government sector.
  • Solid financial background in planning, with proven experience in budgeting processes and financial modelling.
