Position:

Assistant Bar Manager – Full-Time

Salary: $65,000

We are seeking an Assistant Bar Manager, who is a passionate beer enthusiast that can help lead our team, ensure exceptional customer service, and take pride in what Margaret River Brewhouse has to offer. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus and be skilled in training, educating and leading staff.

The Assistant Bar Manager will be instrumental in the continued success of providing high level hospitality and excellent workplace culture. You will be working closely alongside the Bar Manager and our strong managerial team that values hard work and a healthy work life balance. We pride ourselves on our team and offer a workplace that is enjoyable and respectful. We have excellent systems in place to create a seamless, smooth-running operation. We value a calm modern management approach to day to day operations that creates a positive inspired workplace environment.

You will be reporting directly to the Bar Manager and FOH Manager, where you'll be one of the go to managers for all Bar and FOH staff.

Previous Experience required:

  • At least 2 years proven experience in a hospitality managerial role
  • At least 1 year proven experience in a Bar Orientated role
  • Cellar systems, ordering, controlling stock levels
  • POS Systems – Impos advantageous.
  • Leadership, training and staff education.
  • Managing timesheets and cash registers.
  • Opening + closing venues.
  • Managing day to day Operations and ensuring appropriate staffing levels.

Key skills:

  • Ability to take responsibility for running the bar and FOH in the absence of the Bar Manager or FOH Manager.
  • Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for beer with customers and fellow staff members.
  • Handling reservations and phone calls in a professional manner.
  • High level of customer Service.
  • Conflict resolution and customer management.
