Director of Strategic Delivery

The Director of Strategy Delivery is responsible for leading the development and execution of therapeutic area strategies to support clinical trial delivery, feasibility, and proposal development. This role acts as a subject matter expert, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the successful design and operationalisation of clinical studies across multiple therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of therapeutic strategies for new and ongoing clinical studies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in feasibility assessments, site selection, and participant/patient recruitment strategies for assigned therapeutic areas.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Proposals, Clinical Operations, Medical, and Regulatory teams to support bid defence, protocol design, and operational planning.
  • Analyse competitive landscape, participant and patient population data, and site capabilities to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for bid defence meetings and client engagements.
  • Oversee the implementation of strategic delivery plans, monitoring progress and addressing operational challenges.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapeutic area trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in strategy development and delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in clinical research, with at least 3 years in a strategic, feasibility, or project delivery role within a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
  • Strong understanding of global clinical trial regulations, site operations, and patient recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
