Leading international consultancy who has been operating for several decades, supporting clients across the full lifecycle of construction projects is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or Associate to join their Melbourne team.

  • Salary ranges from $145,000 - $180,000 + Super.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate you will join the client-side team on a major data centre project in northwest Melbourne. This is a site-based role supporting the delivery team, which is already engaged across project management, scheduling, and cost management.

You will take ownership of commercial management and contractor oversight, working closely with the client and leading contractor. This role requires someone with the confidence and capability to stand independently on-site, manage key stakeholders, and protect client interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the commercial aspects of the project delivery.
  • Liaise directly with contractors, subcontractors, and the client to ensure best outcomes.
  • Provide robust cost, contract, and financial management across the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure effective delivery of services-heavy packages, particularly
    electrical and mechanical scopes.
  • Operate autonomously while contributing as part of a collaborative client-side team.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizen.
  • Senior-level Quantity Surveyor experience (client-side, contractor, or subcontractor background).
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical trades, ideally within a data centre environment.
  • Ability to work independently and build strong relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with a site-based role - initially 5 days per week with potential to reduce this.
  • Flexible site attendance (once established in the role).
